We do offer Zoom & FaceTime Nutrition Consults and follow-up appointments.

The consultation consists of a full history (medical & nutritional), exam, assessment of a 2-week diet diary (completed two weeks prior to the appointment), and DNA Kit for the patient to send in on their own. The kit takes up to 5-weeks to obtain results and must be further analyzed once obtained (10-minute assessment).

If you have already obtained a DNA analysis (the nutritional analysis may need to be determined at a cost of $40), then a DNA kit is not necessary depending on the ordering company.

A 60-minute follow-up is required to go over the nutritional plan, questions, and modifications, and to examine DNA nutrition results if available at that time.

Nutrition Care plan:

Patients are encouraged to be under care at least once every 3 months for a year to monitor nutritional status and outcomes properly.

Additional costs apply:

Supplements and additional blood/urine testing is not included in any costs above. These may need to be performed by your primary care physician. Genova Lab testing is an additional cost and may be needed for determining nutritional status. These costs vary based on need, types, and brands.

DNA nutrition

This is not required but recommended in assisting the development of personalized and individualized nutrition guidance. Most analyses can be completed based on previously obtained ancestral DNA profiles. Genetic mutations can be present that affect the ability to absorb and/or process micro and macronutrients. Knowing these limitations can be useful in designing a sound nutrition plan for health and wellness.* Note* We do not do DNA-Based Diets, we modify micronutrient molecular formulas and intake amounts based on genetic polymorphisms.

Women & CHildren’s Nutrition

Dr. Crystal specializes in pre-conception, prenatal, & postpartum nutrition (including postpartum depletion) and childhood nutrition. Using our Functional DNA-Based Nutrition methods, we work to obtain proper pre-conception nutritional wellness and guide our women/mothers on maintaining that status throughout pregnancy and into postpartum. We work with maintaining healthy breastfeeding and children’s nutrition to raise healthier little ones.

Microbiome NUTRITION

Dr. Crystal, through her Master’s and H.Sci.D (pending) education and research, has a specific nutritional wellness protocol for addressing microbiome dysfunction and complaints. This consists of dietary and high-grade specific nutritional supplementation for a course of 60-120 days (patient dependent).

The microbiome is specific to each individual and can be disrupted anywhere from birth to adulthood via many avenues of environmental, toxin, chemical, stress, illness, etc.

Microbiome nutritional assessments are 60 mins (see nutrition pricing) and do not include the cost of supplementation due to the variation in patient needs individually. 30-minute follow-up sessions happen at 2 weeks intervals for the first 4 weeks, then again at 8 weeks.
